Appointment builds on Paymentology’s growing presence in the Kingdom, supporting leading financial institutions including Tabby and Enjaz

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 25 October 2026 – Paymentology, the leading global issuer processor, has appointed Sultan Alabdullatif as Country Manager for Saudi Arabia, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Kingdom and its ambitions to support innovation across the country’s rapidly evolving payments ecosystem.
The appointment builds on Paymentology’s local entity establishment in 2025 and its continued investment in the Kingdom by localising its technology and capabilities to meet the needs of the Saudi market. With dedicated leadership now on the ground, Paymentology is strengthening its presence in the Kingdom, enabling closer collaboration with banks, fintechs, and ecosystem partners.
Paymentology’s growing footprint in Saudi Arabia is reflected in its relationships with some of the Kingdom’s leading financial services innovators, including Tabby and Enjaz. These partnerships demonstrate the increasing demand for modern, flexible issuer processing technology as financial institutions look to launch new products, scale their operations and deliver more seamless payment experiences.
Sultan brings more than 15 years of experience spanning payments, technology and financial services, having held senior positions across global organisations and emerging businesses. He joins Paymentology from Visa, where he served as Head of Acceptance Solutions in Saudi Arabia, helping to build and grow the company’s Saudi business while developing strategic relationships with banks, fintechs and ecosystem partners.
Prior to Visa, Sultan was Country Manager at Amazon Payment Services, where he led the growth of its payment services business in Saudi Arabia. Earlier in his career, he held payments and product roles at J.P. Morgan. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from California State University, Fullerton.
In his new role, Sultan will lead Paymentology’s continued growth in Saudi Arabia, deepening relationships with existing clients, developing new partnerships and working closely with the wider financial ecosystem to support the delivery of innovative, locally relevant payment solutions.
Jeff Parker, CEO of Paymentology, commented: “We’ve established fantastic momentum in Saudi Arabia, working with innovative businesses like Tabby and Enjaz, and we’re focused on helping more banks and fintechs bring their ambitions to life. The Kingdom is a key market for Paymentology, and we’re committed to investing in the local expertise, technology and relationships that will help our clients innovate, scale and succeed.
“Sultan’s appointment is a significant step in that commitment. His deep understanding of the Saudi payments landscape, strong industry relationships and proven track record make him ideally placed to understand our clients’ ambitions and help turn them into reality. We’re delighted to welcome him to the team as we deepen our presence and support the next wave of payments innovation in the Kingdom.”
Sultan Alabdullatif, Country Manager for Saudi Arabia at Paymentology, added: “Saudi Arabia is continuing a remarkable transformation in financial services, creating significant opportunities for banks, fintechs and businesses to rethink how payments are delivered and experienced.
“Paymentology combines world-class issuer processing technology with global expertise and flexibility to support the growth ambitions of banks and fintechs. We’ve already established strong foundations in the Kingdom, and my priority is to build on that momentum by working closely with our clients and partners.
“Our local presence reflects Paymentology’s long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia and the clients we serve. Being closer to our clients allows us to better understand their priorities, respond to their evolving needs and build lasting partnerships. My focus is on delivering on our commitments and providing the technology, expertise and support our clients need to achieve their business objectives.
The expansion comes as Saudi Arabia continues to make significant progress towards its Vision 2030 ambitions. According to the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), electronic payments accounted for 85% of all retail payments in 2025, with 14.6 billion electronic transactions recorded throughout the year. Meanwhile, the number of operating fintech companies reached 371 by August 2026, reflecting the pace of innovation and growing opportunities across the Kingdom’s financial services sector.
Paymentology’s continued commitment to Saudi Arabia forms part of its wider growth strategy across the Middle East and globally, supported by a $175 million strategic investment announced in May 2026 to accelerate international expansion and technology innovation. By combining its global infrastructure with local market expertise, the company is helping banks and fintechs bring new payment propositions to market, scale their operations and respond to evolving customer expectations.
