Samsung Electronics Saudi Arabia and TAWAL, a tower telecommunications company, have signed a supply agreement and training to collaborate on using SmartThings Pro to enhance visibility and management of TAWAL’s network assets, with the aim of supporting operational efficiency and network reliability.
The scope includes multi-site management and automated alerts through the platform, intended to provide operational teams with information to support site management and help them identify and follow up on matters requiring attention.
The agreement also covers energy analytics and reporting to support an understanding of consumption patterns as part of asset management. In addition, the collaboration includes integration between SmartThings Pro and TAWAL’s systems through enterprise application programming interfaces (APIs), with the aim of supporting data exchange and making that information useful within the company’s asset management activities. The collaboration also includes asset-location solutions to support visibility of TAWAL’s assets, alongside the platform’s visibility and multi-site management capabilities.
Daniel Kim, Chief Executive Officer of Samsung Electronics Middle East and North Africa RHQ in Saudi Arabia said: “Managing assets across multiple sites calls for clear information that operational teams can use in their daily decisions. That is the focus of our collaboration with TAWAL. We look forward to applying SmartThings Pro in a way that aligns with the company’s systems and operational needs, helping make asset and energy data more useful in overseeing assets and connecting that information with the practical demands of day-to-day operations, in support of efficiency and network reliability.”
For his part, Mohammed Al Haqbani, Chief Executive Officer of TAWAL, noted: “This agreement reflects our ongoing commitment to adopting smart technologies and advancing the way we manage our digital infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency and network reliability. Through our collaboration with Samsung, we aim to leverage advanced digital solutions for asset monitoring and data analytics, enabling more informed operational decision-making and more efficient management of our infrastructure assets across the Kingdom.”
